Head Greenkeeper Greens Report

10th March 2026

As we head into March, we will be doing our greens maintenance, which will consist of a deep tine to a depth of 8 inches using 16mm tines, we will also do a double Verti-cut, a top-dress, then a granular fertiliser will be applied for recovery.
Over the past couple of weeks, top dressing has been going on the greens, and wewill be planning to add further top dressing, aiming to have 30 tons of sand put on the greens before the start of the golf season.

The bunker work has been completed with the liners being put in, bunkers turfed, and fresh white sand added to the bunkers.

An investment by the club in pedestrian mowers has been a beneficial expenditure as the greens are getting cut at a higher height, and the mowers give a tighter and cleaner finish, which helps give a better appearance and reduces any heavy equipment on the greens, especially after any prolonged wet periods.

Our new tractor has arrived, which will help us with our daily routines on the course.
